- How much does a boat slip cost?
- Seasonal slips at inland lake marinas often run $1,500–$4,000 for the season depending on boat length, while coastal marinas in busy areas charge $15–$45 per foot per month. Transient (overnight) dockage is typically $1.50–$4 per foot per night.
- What is a transient slip?
- A slip kept open for visiting boats staying a night or a few days rather than the whole season. Larger marinas take reservations; smaller ones hand them out first-come — hail the harbormaster on VHF 9 or 16, or just call ahead.
- Do marinas sell fuel to boats that aren't docked there?
- Almost always — fuel docks serve anyone who can tie up. Note the fuel dock usually keeps shorter hours than the marina itself, and inland marinas may carry only gasoline, not diesel.
