About MarinaAtlas

MarinaAtlas is a free directory of marinas, harbors and boat docks in the United States. We list coastal and inland marinas with addresses and phone numbers so you can plan a cruise or find a slip without digging through ads.

What is in the directory

7,144 marinas across all 50 states and Washington, DC and 2,854 cities and towns. Every listing has an address; 93% list a phone number and 10% publish opening hours. A city gets its own page only when it has at least two marinas to show — places with a single marina are listed on the state page instead, so you never land on an empty page.

Where the data comes from

Listings are compiled from open geodata — Overture Maps Foundation, Foursquare OS Places and OpenStreetMap (attribution in the footer) — and from the businesses themselves. What we could not confirm is left blank rather than guessed. Population figures on city and state pages come from the U.S. Census Bureau and are used only to show density.

Corrections from owners

Business owners are the best source of truth about their own hours and services, so we write to listed businesses and ask them to check their card. So far 57 corrections sent in by owners have been applied to this directory — new hours, a changed phone number, a moved address, a service added or removed. Corrections are free and do not change where a business appears on a list.

How often it is updated

The directory is rebuilt from the source data and owner corrections on a rolling basis; this build is from September 2026. The industry news page is refreshed on its own schedule. Even so, details change faster than any listing can — always confirm hours by phone before you go.

Own or manage a listed business? Email [email protected] or use the contact page. Tell us what to change and we will do it within a few days; if you would rather not be listed at all, say so and the listing is taken down. No account, no form, no fee.

Who runs it

MarinaAtlas is one of the independent local directories published by S.Ler Group. It is supported by advertising; nothing on the lists is paid placement, and a business cannot buy a higher position. See the terms of use and the privacy policy.
